Vacancies in Petit Offfices of Navy on Increase
Due to a large expansion in the Navy the number of vacancies in petty officer ratings in all branches will increase greatly. Greater opportunity of advancement in the many technical fields will result since trade training and skill are needed to operate modern ships. Almost half of all men in the Navy must be petty officers in the higher pay grades for this need. The plane manufacturing and civil aviation sectors require thousands more workers in their plants. This will provide excellent jobs for men trained by Navy schools and service after discharge.
