Revival Ends After Strong Week at First Methodist
The revival at First Methodist in Vernon, led by Rev. J W Hunt and Rev. T W Brabham, closed Sunday night with the subject The Last Call. Nearly fifty conversions occurred, six received by certificate and baptism, and a large class of children will join next Sunday. Hunts sermons urged restoring the family altar and warned against modern sins. The women’s meeting at the Vernon theater was notable with several conversions, and more sermons were held Sunday afternoon. Babies and older children are to be baptized at 10:80 Sunday morning.
