Uintah High Principal Glen Ovard joins social science committee
Glen Ovard principal of Uintah High School has been appointed a member of the state Social Science Committee of the Textbook Study Program for a six year term. The panel will determine social science curriculum needs, review fall textbooks, and prepare recommendations. The first meeting is October 30 in Salt Lake City.

Sixteen Miles Of Road Paved During Summer
Sixteen miles of roads were paved by Uintah County this summer in the asphalt program led by county road foreman Henry Workman. Paving ran from Tug So in summer to September 200 during which Dry Fork road and many others were completed including Vernal Airport joint project, Maeser Township, Ashley, Ballard, Lapoint, and Jaycee Ball Park. About 18 000 yards laid on projects and 2500 yards sold to individuals, Vernal City, and Uintah School District.
