One Case of Polio in Uintah County Reported

20000 Rainbow Trout Planted in Strawberry Lake
A fall stocking of about 20000 rainbow trout, three to five inches long, was released into Strawberry Reservoir. Utah Fish and Game fin clipped the fish to study survival, growth, and other data. Creel census will identify the plant's success in coming seasons. This plant brings the annual total fin clipped trout to 50000 for future identification.

Snow Dirt Pushers To be Purchased By Commissioners
At the regular semimonthly meeting of the County Commissioners authorization was given for the purchase of a snowpusher with a combined dirt pusher for the caterpillar patrol. The machinery was purchased from Arnold Machine Co. of Salt Lake. Part tax exemption was granted to three disabled veterans. It was decided to move the old coal shed at the rear of the jail and create more parking facilities. The Ashley Creek bridge at Jensen between the Wall and Massey ranches has been completed and the new road aligned. Two bridges between Vernal and Lapoint have been completed. Construction on the Brush Creek bridge on Mosby mountain road near the Tyzack ranch was completed last weekend. Here today gone tomorrow but it won’t be if you put part of your earnings in United States Savings Bonds.
