Uintah Basin leaders map a three fold goal for Vernal's July 4 celebration to raise funds for Uintah County Scout programs, boost patriotism, and promote family recreation. Colorado students study local geology field trip planned
Twenty five mining students under Drs Huna pa Warren Wa ter toured the Basin last week visiting Bonanzanite mines and the asphalt pit fanley field near Rangely. The group examined property with superintendent toker and later planned visits to coal mines in Carbon County and iron mines in the Baintain area. A second group led by Drs J Hux Johnson and W Alan Stewart will tour the Basin on May 19.
