Local families recount weekend travels and pageant attendance
Mr and Mrs Joseph P Hacking and daughters Mary Helen and Florence traveled to Salt Lake City meeting son Don on the 745 train returning from a Swiss German mission. Elder Hacking visited relatives in Washington DC Kansas City and Independence before attending the pageant in Salt Lake with his sisters. The group returned Monday with Mrs Mark M Hall. W P Vernon and son Orson visited Provo and BYU, visiting LaVon Vernon at school. Harold McKee and brother Lynn left for Kentworth with Mrs McKee to visit her mother. The McKees brought home Mr and Mrs Wm McKee who spent a month in Salt Lake Spanish Fork and elsewhere. The Mikanowees class picnic at Collett pasture and Enock Clark’s return from Provo are noted along with Verd in Singleton’s partial recovery and DeLos Watkins visiting after a cousin’s death. Carl R Richens tore his car oil pan in Salt Lake and remained until repairs Wednesday.
