Henry Burton Bryant aged 84 85 born in Australia and a veteran of the Black Hawk Indian War was buried at Leota cemetery last Sunday following a funeral at Leota Ward chapel. The service featured special music by Morley Jones Eva Roberts Amy Jenkins and organist Rose Kimball with remarks on his faithfulness and long life. He was married to Judia Ann Hoops and leaves two sons and two grandchildren. His wife died five weeks earlier.

Sorrowing friends and relatives gathered for the funeral of Mrs Christine McCurdy of Glines Ward who died April 22 1930. Born September 7 1852 in Scotland she lived in Vernal forty eight years and served in Naples Ward Relief Society including secretary treasurer and president roles. Survived by eleven children, a brother and two sisters, with burial in Vernal cemetery after services at Glines chapel conducted by Bishop John B Eaton.
