Deepest Utah Lake in 16 Years Driven by Above Normal Rainfall
The Great Salt Lake reaches record depth for 16 years amid precipitation several inches above normal since last October. Depth readings show lake depth tied to annual rainfall, with Utah’s Bear Lake Utah Lake and Strawberry Reservoir affected as water drains by gravity, signaling a wetter cycle. Noting Utah’s film industry ties, April reports in The Motion Picture Herald mention Mid-Continent Pictures Corp and Utah Productions and Locations Co planning production in Utah.
