A fragmentary note recounts Steamboat Rock in Dinosaur National Monument and its alleged reduction in height through actions by Devereaux Butcher Martin Litton and Philip Hyde, with calls to restore 386 feet of rock to keep it out of Echo Park Dam plans. It mentions Steamboat Rock’s height around 6,066 feet and historical surveys, plus a personal reminiscence of long-ago residents and a convalescent home in Salt Lake City.
