Pleasant Grove Visits and Local Travel Fragments
Clair Fletcher took Roy Duke and others to Pleasant Grove to visit Mary Duke who has been ill. The group also visited relatives in Bingsham and Pleasant Grove, with trips to Provo and Salt Lake City. Multiple residents returned from visits, work assignments in Roosevelt, and family gatherings in Duchesne and Lepoint. Primary officers attended and church speakers addressed the Sacrament. A contemporary claim on average human life span is questioned as autos may have shortened gains.

Cemetery sighting yields quip on sleep and selfishness
A colored lad wandered a cemetery reading tomb inscriptions. He stopped at a stone reading No, Dead, but Sleeping. He muttered a piped remark about someone’s own self just resting, humorously implying vanity.
