Pioneer Day Tribute to the Ashley Valley Pioneers
On Pioneer Day we honor the 105 year anniversary since the 1847 pioneers entered the Great Salt Lake Valley and the 73 year mark since the Ashley Valley pioneers began their migration. The piece recalls their trek, road-building, schools, worship, and enduring efforts to create an orderly, industrious community from Vernal to Salt Lake.
