Babson’s Authentic Statement on Russia and Gold
Babson argues in July at Babson Park Mass that no shooting or chemical war will start with Russia but an intensified economic war is likely. He discusses Russia’s potential use of gold, a “gold table” to stabilize foreign trade, and the impact on commodity prices and depression. He notes the dollar’s movement since 1934, and mentions a 1939 conference with Eisenhower and Macmillan with plans to discuss the probe with allies.
