Quiet warmups and carburetor care save gasoline
A 1977 article from Vernal explains that engines idle best with a brief warm-up only on very cold days and that rough idle may stem from gum and dirt in the carburetor. It recommends Gumout spray with a plastic extension tube to clean the exterior and interior of the carburetor throat, reducing stalling and improving economy.
