Clean Huntington plant shows low pollution and safe mining
Governor Matheson outlines a plan to curb Utah highway deaths as police chiefs hear details. The Huntington UP&L plant operates with two 600 foot chimneys and 8,000 tons of coal daily, aided by electrostatic precipitators. Deer Creek mine uses conveyor belts and electric diggers to feed the plant two miles away, with minimal visible emissions. A six five man strike squad will enforce 55 mph and liquor sale intocicated penalties, while DOT studies aim to fix dangerous road segments and monitor radar device bans.
