Uintah Federal 122-1 will be drilled 2,603 feet from the south line and 150 feet from the east line in Section 16, Township 13 South, Range 22 East. Pan American Petroleum plans Paradox production at Deadman Canyon along the Lisbon to Aneth crude line route in San Juan County. Deadmen Canyon No. 245 to be drilled 660 feet from the north line and 1,980 feet from the east line, Section 30, Township 27 South, Range 24 East. PanAm also schedules 87,700 foot Wasatch test in Uintah County with Parrett Beach No. 2 at 2,030 feet from the north line and 1,830 feet from the east line, Section 7, Township 9 South, Range 18 East.

Memory of Forrest Caldwell Remains in Vernal
Forrest Caldwell died at 59 on March 24 in a Vernal rest home after years of rheumatic disability. Cousins Fay and others recall him as cheerful and comforting, with a talent for music and art. He played piano violin and harmonica, later mainly harp, and spent his days visiting friends and family, sharing stories and conversation.

Robbery Suspect Pleads Innocent In Duchesne Court
A robbery and assault with intent to murder case in Duchesne County saw suspect Kazda plead innocent in Justice Court on Monday. Another brother Kazda pled guilty and was sentenced to the state penitentiary. A companion woman also pleaded guilty in custody. A sawed-off 16 gauge shotgun tied to the February robbery was found. autopsy ruled death unrelated to gunshot wounds. The case includes ongoing preliminary hearings and legal representation for Kazda.
