Maeser Boy Drowns In Canal Near Home
Four year old Lance Allen Broadaway vanished from his Maeser residence Wednesday afternoon. His mother reported him missing at 4:15 pm and sheriff’s deputies, aided by the Search and Rescue Patrol, found the boy about 4:40 pm downstream near the Old Mill corner. The child, born November 18, 1957, was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputy Sheriff Bill Mott led the investigation.

Two-Car Crash Injures Mother and Son in Hart
Mrs Ward Evans and her 19-year-old son Burke were slightly hurt in a Monday morning collision at the intersection of 3rd West and 2nd South in Hart. A southbound 1955 Chevrolet pickup driven by Don Ivie of Moab collided with Evans's 1952 Chrysler. Evans suffered a knee injury and Burke a head bump. Estimated damage: $600 to the pickup, car a total loss. Ivie cited for failure to yield right of way.
