A Daggett County delegation led by Albert Neff met the Utah Road Commission in Ball Lake City to discuss road routing from the Manning Gorge Dam area. Neff floated a high level Flaming Gorge bridge to span a narrow gorge section and noted the reservoir will soon sever Manila from the county seat, posing issues for the school district and law enforcement while ranchers keep operations on the Manila side. If no bridge is built, access may require detours via Dutch John and the Flaming Gorge dam site, doubling travel distance.
