Forest Wins Funds For Pest Control In Utah
Forest Service pest control funds totaling 785 000 of 1 000 000 approved by the Senate Appropriations Committee will be spent in Utah. Senator Frank E Moss reports the Forest Service Supplemental Appropriation Bill has passed the House and awaits Senate action. Bark beetle control on Wasatch and Ashley National Forests will use the new 705 000 to combat the epidemic on the Worth Slope, with prior efforts yielding some success and a hoped for knockout blow this spring.
