Utah Sealed-up Wonderlands: Mission 66 Plans for Parks
The National Park Service proposes a decade long program under Mission 66 to upgrade Utah parks and monuments with roads trails and facilities. Dinosaur National Monument would receive about 2.4 of the outlay including a new visitor center and museum while Zion Bryce and Hovenweep receive multi million allocations. Final plans depend on surveys and congressional funding with potential direct links between Dinosaur areas and new access routes from U.S. Highway 40.

The 1953 Utah legislature enacted a statute enabling state aid to county districts like Manila Daggett to finance school construction.
