The sale at the Daggett County Courthouse Manila Utah will cover the described lands in Daggett County including multiple sections and parcels with rights of ingress and egress and water rights. BLM Chief Lloyd Ferguson Receives Quality Step Increase Award
Lloyd Ferguson, Vernal District Manager for the Bureau of Land Management, was awarded a Quality Step Increase by Paul Howard, Utah BLM State Director, for his contributions to Utah mineral management in the Fillmore and Vernal Districts. Ferguson's career spans Fillmore, Idaho Falls, Boise, Miles City, and Lang 1960s. he is a Idaho State University alumnus and former high school teacher and Navy veteran. A public hearing notice directs operators and mineral owners to attend or submit comments by April 20, 1977, regarding amendments to oil and gas conservation rules in Utah.

Top spellers from Tinlal School District elementary and junior high schools competed in school contests with four best spellers advancing to a regional event. Maeser Ashley Central Naples Todd West Jr Vernal High schools sent twenty eight students to Vernal High auditorium where Nina Won placed first, Wendy second, Kathy third, Frank fourth, and Alicia fifth. The Region VI meet is scheduled for Friday April 18 at 11 am at Vernal High. Mr Childs remarked that harder words tested contestants and invited others to attend the event.
