Roosevelt Rites Honor Gus Emert Pioneer Druggist
Funeral rites for A C Gus Emert Vernal pioneer druggist were held Monday at 11 am in the Roosevelt Fourth Ward chapel. He died Thursday at 6 45 pm of causes incident to age aged 90 birthday March 16 at his Roosevelt home. He was born March 16 1867 in Zanesville Ohio and lived in Grand Junction Colorado before moving to Vernal in 1904. He owned Vernal Drug and stores at Watson and Dragon and helped organize Uintah Power and Light Co remaining a director until his death. Survivors include daughters May Bliss Price Ethel Murray Salt Lake City and Dicig Emert Roosevelt three grandchildren six great grandchildren. Burial was at Vernal Memorial Park cemetery.
