All-Indian Basketball Tourney Opens Tonight
The All-Indian Basketball Tournament begins this afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Ute Recreation Center in Radlett and runs through Saturday with games daily at 2 and 7 30 p.m. Teams from Utah Idaho Colorado Montana and Wyoming include St Stevens Mission Pryor Wyoming Quray Warriors Fort Washakie Indians Fort Hall Warriors Huskies and Arapahoe Legion. An exhibition of Indian war dances will be held Saturday night and an all star team will be named with awards. Season tickets are available from the Ute recreation committee.

Dr. F G Eskelson Honored At Vernal Funeral Rites
Funeral services for Dr Far ley Gilbert Eskelson 71 prominent Vernal physician and educator were held Monday at 11 am in Vernal First Fifth Ward chapel under Bishop Martin W Curtle. He died Thursday afternoon after a long illness at Uintah County Hospital. Born Oct 13 1885 in Kamas Utah he studied at Brigham Young University University of Utah Northwestern University and the University of Vienna. He served as principal at Emery Brighams Canyon High School and Colonia Juarez Academy and later practiced medicine in Magna Heber and Evanston before moving to Vernal in 1932.
