At a Liberty School hearing Butler County Commissioners heard a 4-1 vote in favor of extending Butler water lines into areas north of Hamilton Mason Road and south of Millikin Road. About 60 percent of 295 homeowners signed a three year minimum six dollar monthly contract to secure meters and installation.

Motorist guilty in Hardwick death case to jury
Charles F. Morgan of Wapakoneta Ohio was found guilty of second degree vehicular homicide and unreasonable speed for conditions in the June 18 death of construction worker Earl D. Schumate on I-75 in Butler County Area Two Court. Morgan was fined 500 dollars and costs with 250 suspended and driving privileges suspended six months. He pleaded no contest. The trial referenced the death of Schumate 50 of Manchester at a repair site south of Millikin road. it noted a second fatality on I-75 after lane narrowing. The update also covers Mary Hubbard charged with murder of Joan Hardwick sent to Ipre County land Jury, plus related allegations and other local court actions and vandalism concerns.
