In Bellefontaine Ohio a Girl Scout troop sells fireflies to fund a search for luciferin luciferase used by Sigma Chemical Co St Louis. They have sent 240 fireflies earning 60 cents with scales paying up to 1 cent per insect on larger lots.
Lake County residents and visitors can attend a Champagne Breakfast on Sunday July 1 1973 at the Supper Club on Highway 20 Lucerne. North Shore Catholic Building Fund sponsors the event offering sausage pancakes eggs juice coffee and champagne with tickets 2 adults 1 child. Proceeds support the building fund and hours run from noon.
Penny Dupont reports a Lake County flea market at the fairgrounds this Sunday July 8 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is 50 cents for adults with free entry for children under 12, and the event features free music entertainment and babysitting. The promoters are Chuck and Packi Stedwell, a San Francisco film producer and blue church owner.
Lake County Lucerne Senior Citizens Building Fund Committee sponsors a Talent Nite in August and seeks volunteer acts. Call program chairman Mrs. Robert Ingleston at 274 1562 to perform. The town lacks a legal 200 seat community building and fundraising funds are being sought to erect one.
Mrs. Alva McGarah of Binney & Smith will lead The New Art Framework Visual Arts, a three day workshop for primary and intermediate teachers. June 26 27 28 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 3 p.m. daily.
