Willits Girl Killed by Horse Kick at Buckhorn Ranch
A 10 year old Willits girl, Katherine Lynne Peters, died after a horse kicked her in the head at Buckhorn Ranch on Holland Lane during a cattle roundup. The fatal injury occurred when two horses began a kicking altercation near the barn. She is survived by her parents, a younger sister, and grandparents. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Anker Lucier Mortuary with burial in Willits Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
