Water color artist Dick Soderquist will display works next week at Valley Paint and Art Supply 207 S State Street. He will also be on hand to paint water color portraits for Christmas shoppers. New store owners Nancy and Karl Nun nemaker will display works by local artists regularly. They moved from Oregon to Ukiah. Nancy grew up here and studied locally.

Christmas angels occupy interest of Cultus Club
The Cultus Club held its Christmas party at Mrs. Nelmes Smith's home with the theme An Alphabet of Angels by Helen Winner. Members shared favorite angels from around the world, including "Stairway to the Stars" and pieces from Belgium and Oaxaca, as Santa Glenn Wright oversaw the gift exchange.
