Tipsy driver guilty in Ukiah court verdict
Ukiah Justice Court jurors found James D. Clark of Willits guilty of drunken driving after a two hour deliberation. He was arrested July 19 at S State and Freitas by Officer Dick Perry. Clark testified he slept little and drank but denied intoxication. Dr Paul Marsh testified to slurred speech flushed eyes and failed balance tests. Sentencing set before Judge Hale McCowen Jr. next Wednesday.

Tipsy driving arrests in Mendocino County
Two persons were booked into Mendocino County jail late yesterday and early today on drunk driving charges. Delbert Eugene Lofton, 38, of Ukiah, arrested on N State Street at Orr Springs Road by sheriff's deputies at 3 a.m. today. William Robert Vosgrau, 51, Cotati, taken into custody by the Highway Patrol yesterday on Highway 101.
