Seasonal Garden Tasks And Planting Tips For Spring
Clean up leaves, spent blooms, and weeds in yards and make a compost pile with ready kits available at nurseries. Those with limited space should remove all fallen material to prevent overwintering pests and diseases. Plant cabbage, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, beets, chard, onions, and carrots now, plus hybrid lilies with good drainage, and fill the garden with color by setting out violas, pansies, Iceland poppies, calendulas, stocks, and snapdragons.
