Jail uprising at Albany County Jail sparks state probe

About 31 inmates refused to leave the mess hall for over four hours prompting a joint investigation by the state Commission on Corrections and Sheriff John J. McNulty. No hostages or injuries were reported though jail staff evacuated civilians and officers in riot gear surrounded the area.
