Boy Drowns Inley Creek Near Plattsburgh
Five year old Tony Corodimas of Plattsburgh drowned after slipping into eight feet of water while crossing a section of Inley Creek feeding Lake Champlain. The funeral and family details were not listed. In Washington, President Johnson’s budget plan faced Senate and House opposition as Henry Fowler urged a $74 billion tax increase and a $4 billion spending cut to shrink the deficit and bolster the dollar. Fowler testified before the Ways and Means Committee after delays and warned that postponement could harm the economy and international monetary system.
