Rules Governing Police Approved by Mechanicville Council
The Mechanicville city council approved a new police department rule set Wednesday. The rules, developed for months, will be filed with the city clerk and posted at City Hall and the police station. Mayor John Fascia said they are separate from a prior incident involving a patrolman and police chief. The council also abolished the special investigator position, affecting Dennis Baker’s pay by about four pounds weekly to improve morale.
