Hoosick Falls police reported no weekend complaints but made one arrest and issued five tickets. Barron McKeon, Hoosick Falls, arrested Saturday for assault in the third degree. North Colonie Board Rejects Tax Break Plan

The North Colonie School Board voted unanimously to forgo state tax exemptions for new or expanding businesses, delaying approval on two proposals and noting fairness concerns for existing firms. The board also reported 6.93 percent of $523,376 in uncollected taxes turned over to Albany County and awarded a $3,535 contract to Sofco.ne.

North Colonie Teachers Vote on Five Percent Pay Package

The North Colonie Teachers Association with about 340 members planned to vote on a two year contract offering a total five per cent increase. The plan provides two per cent raises in each year but delays standard increments for experience and graduate credits. In the second year two increments would be awarded.
