A pig’s head wrapped in a plastic bag was found by a passerby on Viall Avenue near the Town House Apartments around 4 30 p.m. Monday. Mechanicville police were alerted and Felix Taglione, foreman of the city garage, was notified.

County Aides Train for Reassessment Project
Nineteen men and women employed under the federal CETA program train in observation interviewing and data recording for the county's 2 million reassessment project to be completed next spring. Data collectors have worked in Day and Northumberland. Charlton Saratoga Ballston and Milton will follow.
