King and Button Back Big Money Bill in House Vote
Representatives Carleton King and Daniel Button voted for a billion dollar appropriations bill funding independent agencies including HUD and the VA. Earlier they split on an amendment removing rent subsidies, which failed 232 to 171. King argued subsidies unfairly tax one person to cover another’s rent.
