Lockman back on police list after court ruling
David J. Lockman may remain with the East Greenbush Police Department after State Supreme Court Judge William R. Murray ruled that the new sergeant post is not bound by minimum state medical and vision requirements. Lockman, 32, had once lost his civil service job for vision issues but scored 88 percent on a May test for the sergeant post. The county plans to refrain from appealing, and town officials hope the decision helps overturn a prior rejection of his appointment.
