Funeral services for John Volkert Whitbeck Jr former Columbia County Surrogate and Hudson attorney who died after a brief illness will be held at 2 p.m. today at his residence 439 Une street Hudson. He had been in ill health and his death was unexpected.

Ralph Evans attended his son Gordon Edward’s graduation from NY State College for Teachers at Albany last week. graduation exercises will be held Friday morning. Averill Park Baptist Youth Fellowship Class joined the local Baptist Church at 5 AM yesterday.
