Old timer still enjoys church choir after decades
Shelburne Vermont longtime church singer Jack Ockert who joined Trinity Episcopal Church’s choir after 1900 remains active 75 years later. He recalls strict early practices led by Cecil Egg and notes his World War I service briefly interrupted attendance. Ockert, a former parish secretary and longtime choirmaster, values church and music and continues to don the robe each Sunday with his wife Mildred praising his dedication.
