Reds Speed New Arms To Arabs
UPI reports Russia has replaced about half Egypt’s lost aircraft and a quarter of its tanks after the war with Israel. The State Department warns Moscow against fueling a new arms race as the Johnson administration weighs resuming U.S. arms shipments. Reports say Egypt received 30 MiG-21s, over 100 new Stalin-3 tanks, and additional replacements, with UN action under consideration to curb arms supplies in the Near East.
