New supervisor Floyd Hitchcock reported missing records from former supervisor Fred Bates, while town clerk Margaret Van Deusen said Bates’s wife had brought several records to the hall. Unanimous votes filled planning and youth commission chairs, plus vacancies on the environmental conservation and assessment review boards. New hires included Harold Middleton as deputy town landfill operator temporarily and Gary Hart as a highway department employee paid through CETA. The group proposed a Saturday assessors session and set hearings on fire protection and ambulance contracts for the next meeting. Free youth movies were announced, and potential restaurant activity near Millers Corners was noted.
