The Schuetzenfest at the German Rod and Gun Club of Troy is set for Sunday at 1 pm on Fuller Road Cherry Street Colonie. Public invited with rain or shine. Prizes for top target shooter. German and American foods served. Old German Brass Band will play. Rudy Paulsen is general chairman. Meanwhile county offices and departments seek applicants for competitive exams with residency and experience requirements and details from the Courthouse commission office.
The Office of State Comptroller Arthur Levitt announced the distribution of 25,201,467.37 as the second 1967 68 quarterly installment of per capita assistance to counties cities towns villages and town outside village municipalities. The list shows the lump amount allotted to each county. Rensselaer County's share is 464,778.95 Contiguous counties receive the following Saratoga 295,052.02 Washington 143,107.20

Plans for Sunday’s clam bake by the Troy Police Benevolent and Protective Association were finalized Tuesday. The event at Brookside Park West Sand Lake starts at 1 p.m. with prizes and entertainment. Sgt Willard L Sheeran chairs the affair and state and local officials have been invited. Police Wives Association will assist. Tickets available from Central Police Headquarters or at the gate until 3 15 p m.
