Albany officials announced a fast track debris removal contract for the Green Island Bridge over the Hudson River. The contractor faces a 2500 daily penalty if the channel stays blocked after May 6 and a 2500 daily bonus for each day required to open full navigation before May 6, with bids to be reviewed soon and work to begin on removing the bridge tower.
