Weather, Rain Spur Watch On Feeder Cattle Prices
Iowa State University economist Francis Kutish says weather drives when feeder cattle prices weaken. Dry spells hit central and southern plains earlier, sparking potential early marketing, but recent rains offer temporary relief. If rains don’t continue, ranchers face selling pressure as more cattle graze. Prices likely fall this fall as feeders must be bought cheaper to yield fair returns.

The plan creates a 99 member House and a 58 member Senate. The Farm Bureau also urged a moratorium on local government spending that would raise property taxes, arguing cost increases fall on property owners.
