Readlyn Town Council Bremer County will meet at the Town Hall to hear the estimate of expenditures and the statement of receipts and disbursements for the past and upcoming period. Arnold C. Poock is Town Clerk.
Trustees of Readlyn Community Library Iowa solicit bids for construction of the Readlyn Library. Sealed bids due by August 1968 with a 5 percent bid deposit. Plans and specs available in Readlyn Iowa and at Stenson & Warm Inc Waterloo. Preference given to Iowa labor and products. Bid security liquidated damages if not honored.
Jimmie Rollins, CORE official, addresses about 400 Iowa State University students in Ames at Black Saturday. He says black militants overuse revolution rhetoric but urges unity with white liberals willing to be revolutionary and questions whites about taking a shared line.
Mr and Mrs Herb Kerr are noted for 41 years of Memorial Day observances at Lime Springs. He sold his drug store partnership in 1927 but the couple continues the annual return to the town for the ceremony and related loyalty.
