Two Milledgeville youths Bruce A. Francis 18 and passenger Thomas W. Smith 17 were fined for possessing liquor as minors with costs and for speeding after a radar clock over 100 mph near Milledgeville Polo road. Jury also fines Max F. Meakins 100 and 15 costs for second offense speeding. Darel McNeal and Martin Cronister charged in Krahn Motors burglary released on 5000 bond. cases continued to October 27.

DHIA Names Top Dairy Herds in Carroll County 1969
Holstein herd owned by Ben Fecke and sons topped Carroll County in 1969 with 25 cows averaging 14 190 pounds of milk and 549 pounds of butterfat per cow. Testing Supervisor Vernon Gordon announced at the DHIA meeting. Several other herds surpassed 500 pounds butterfat with Wingenknecht averaging 14 769 pounds per cow for 542 dollars per cow in income.
