Arrest of Chadwick tavern owner over license denial
Herbert Spearman of Chadwick was arrested Friday by the sheriff for operating a tavern without a liquor license. He posted a $500 bond and faces charges in county court based on information by State's Attorney J. L. Brearton. Spearman had been refused a license May 1 and appealed to the state liquor commissioner. The complaint charges beer sales without a license from May 1 to May 10.
