A trio of readers from Thomson Illinois to Kennewick Washington and Los Angeles California share updates in July 1944. Nettie E. Phillips writes about fatigue from correspondence, health, and visits with former students now abroad. Mr and Mrs Willard Welch traveled to Sharon Wisconsin to be with P G Petersen who fell from a house work site and fractured his hip at Elk Horn hospital Mrs Welch stayed longer while Mr Welch returned home Petersen faces recovery and reflection on college plans for graduates with advice on choosing the right institution and path.
Army trucks may be sold to farmers through county AAA committees with War Food Administration approval. The program aims to match essential agricultural needs with available trucks, warning that only a small portion of applicants will receive one. 680 4-H delegates in Stillwater Oklahoma set a goal of one $25 War Bond per member.
