Editor’s North Trip Diary Through Great Lakes to Canada
The editor recounts a road trip from Sault Ste. Marie into Ontario and along the Lake Superior shore. The voyage includes ferry crossings, sighting a sunken supply steamer, Canadian customs clearance, lake locks in Michigan and Ontario, and excursions aboard an ore-steamer. Stops include cabin camps near Pelchawana Bay, Holland Michigan, and Dunes State Park Indiana, ending with a return route through Gary and Hammond.
