Wisconsin Bow Hunters lead national bow hunting growth
Wisconsin bow hunters association, formed in 1941 to promote deer bow hunting, plans to grow membership from 1500 to 2000 amid high deer harvests by archers. The group awards pins for deer, pays landowners for deer on private property, and notes Illinois contributed many nonresident permits to the Necedah refuge.
