Stoner and Manning In Dixon Hospital After Crash
Howard Stoner 26 of Chadwick and LaVonne Manning of Lanark were seriously injured Friday night north of Dixon when the front tire blew out, their car crashed into a tree, and both occupants were thrown clear. Stoner suffered skull and limb fractures while Manning had a fractured skull and broken ribs. Both are confined to Dixon hospital under sedation. Stoner’s leg was trapped beneath the car during rescue.

Two Mt. Carroll Boys Injured In Auto Accidents
Theodore Colehour Jr. fractured his left leg after running between parked cars into a passing car driven by Carl Fram in Mt. Carroll. He was taken to a Freeport hospital. Earlier, William Kellman suffered a broken collar bone and bruises when his bicycle was struck by a car driven by John Cochran. Cochran swerved to avoid him, causing a rollover. Kellman went to Savanna hospital and returned to school the next day. Brendon Law, riding with Cochran, was uninjured.
