Traffic pattern change at Winchester and Strasburg Roads
VDOT unveils a new traffic layout at the Winchester Road intersection with East Strasburg Road. Right turns remain allowed from both approaches plus the loop through Quad rant Road. Left turns at the main intersection are eliminated to favor through traffic and improve signal timing. Information sessions run today and Friday. The bridge and six lanes are slated to reopen by mid November.

Quadrant Roadway Interchange Opens Soon in Virginia
The Strasburg and Winchester roads realignment in Virginia is expected to open within weeks. The Virginia Department of Transportation has not set a firm date. Left turns will be eliminated at the main intersection, with all lefts diverted to Quadrant Road, while right turns from East Strasburg Road and both Winchester directions remain allowed. Signals will be retimed to favor straight traffic and coordinated with nearby signals on the new loop.
